Performances of the Dumbarton Oaks Concerto are too seldom, yet it figures amongst Stravinsky’s most exhilarating works. A happy inspiration from Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, the springing, impish music sets different instrumental groups against each other in the style of a baroque concerto. The Bulgarian composer, Dobrinka Tabakova, pays a wonderful tribute to Schubert in her Fantasy. Performed in venues worldwide, this piece will be interpreted by the conductor Delyana Lazarova, a finalist in the 2020 La Maestra competition.
