For our opening concert, Alexandre Bloch invites us on a voyage to the end of the galaxy to discover Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and further-flung worlds through Gustav Holst’s The Planets. Composed at the start of the 20^th century, each star in the score is associated with a human trait. From Mars, the warrior, to Neptune, the mystic, the work is a dazzling symphonic poem!
