Brad Mehldau piano
Brad Mehldau has been performing as a soloist and in a trio since the beginning of the 1990s. His style is defined by a marked taste for improvisation and a fascination of formal structure. These two aspects of his personality live side by side, creating an effect of “organised chaos”.
Winner of the Best Album Grammy Award for instrumental jazz in 2020 for Finding Gabriel, Brad Mehldau has worked alongside many jazz musicians while also exploring rock, pop and folk music. His career as a composer has led him to write music for films such as, Eyes Wide Shut by Stanley Kubrick and The Million Dollar Hotel by Wim Wenders.
