Lille Opera

The Orchestra maintains close ties with Lille Opera, with which it performs a major operatic work each year. Featuring in this season’s programme is Verdi’s ultimate triumph, Falstaff, a burlesque operetta ending in an unforgettable musical climax!

Once more, the ONL welcomes its fellow regional orchestra, the Orchestre de Picardie, to perform an ambitious programme under the baton of its new Music Director,  Johanna Malangré.

The ONL is welcoming the internationally acclaimed Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) and its Music Director,  Jonathan Nott, for the first time.

Jeune Chœur des Hauts-de-France

The Orchestra seizes every possible opportunity to welcome our region’s youth choir which brings together children and teenagers from across the Hauts-de-France. This season, the choir will be showcased in April for Flash Concert at 12.30pm.

The The Orchestra works regularly with the Hauts-de-France Regional Choir whose members will sing in the closing concert this season.

EXCHANGE PARTENARSHIPS

The ONL initiates exchanges with the great symphonic ranks of France and Europe. The excellence of the Orchestra’s reputation gives rise to invitations to perform in the concert seasons of other great orchestras, which we in turn invite our audiences to discover in Lille during 2023/2024 season.

Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg | OPS

As part of our exchange programme with the OPS, the ONL will perform works from the golden age of Viennese music under the conductor, Gergely Madaras in Strasbourg, an invitation reciprocated next season with a concert by the ONL in the Auditorium.

Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen

Similarly, the ONL features in Ghent’s Muziekcentrum De Bijloke season for an exhilirating programme centred on the Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz and conducted by Alexandre Bloch. In November 2003, we will then welcome the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, one of the most distinguished Flemmish orchestras.

École Supérieur de Musique et Danse

ESMD

The Orchestra has a longstanding partnership with the École Supérieure de Musique et Danse des Hauts-de-France-Lille (ESMD), to which it opens its doors this season for the Preludes and Ludorama series and contributes to the students’ education through regular opportunities to meet and exchange ideas.

Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille

A hive of educational activity in the field of performing arts, the CRR, together with the ESMD, will take part in this season’s Preludes series.

For the fourth year running, the Jazz Section of the Tourcoing Conservatoire will participate in the ONL season, performing the Prelude before Erik Truffaz’s concert.

LaM

The modern art museum, LaM continues to work with the ONL this season, weaving the threads between music and visual arts.

Aéronef

After partnering with the ONL for the exceptional Chilly Gonzales and Wynton Marsalis recitals, the Aéronef, a concert venue, will coproduce the Falling Stars symphony concert with Erik Truffaz and the Brad Mehldau exceptional recital.

Tourcoing Jazz

A regular partner of the ONL’s jazz events, Tourcoing Jazz will coproduce, together with the Aéronef, the symphony concert Falling Stars with Erik Truffaz and the Brad Mehldau exceptional recital.

Furet du Nord

The region’s emblematic bookshop, the Furet du Nord, partners with the Orchestra for its Orchestra Shop, which is open on concert evenings and sales at the Box Office.

LE CONSERVATOIRE NATIONAL SUPÉRIEUR DE MUSIQUE ET DE DANSE DE PARIS (CNSMD)

The Orchestra is deeply committed to fostering the careers of students from national music and dance conservatoires by providing them with professional experience within the ONL’s ranks.

CNSMD Paris

This season, one or two students from the conducting class at the Paris Conservatoire will be appointed as assistant conductors at the ONL with a view to helping them prepare their future career by working with our orchestra.

Programme networks

The Orchestre National de Lille regularly initiates collaborative projects and co-commissions with other orchestras and national and international cultural partners.

AFO

The ONL is a member of the Association Française des Orchestres, founded in 2000 as a discussion forum, which collects and provides information, organises meetings and debates and represents professionals in the symphony orchestra sector.

LES FORCES MUSICALES

The ONL is a member of the Les Forces Musicales, a federation representing orchestras and opera companies in France.  Les Forces Musicales establishes lasting collegiate relations that are fundamental for championing the sector and promoting its profile and influence across the artistic, social, and economic life of the nation.
