Concert recorded and broadcasted on Monday the 3d of April on our YouTube Channel in the playlist Audito 2.0. Concert available for 3 months.
Ingela Brimberg is deeply drawn to an incandescent quality in music, one that illuminates Strauss’s sublime Four Last Songs. The score is ideal for the Swedish soprano to deploy the great magnetism of her voice. The Overture to Tannhäuser, as famous as that to The Flying Dutchman, evokes erotic emotion, both solemn and majestic. To round off the programme, the renowned Japanese conductor, Kasuzhi Ono, invites us to an intensely expressive moment of introspection. Written in 1939, Shostakovich’s Symphony No.6 opens with an expansive Largo of Mahlerian majesty. Kazusi Ono, as a maestro of opera, promises to yield the unfathomable depths and astounding beauty of this programme.
The Orchestre National de Lille, thanks to the support of its club of patrons, Arpège, is inviting students to the Auditorium to experience live the emotional force of this concert.
